Criminal & Juvenile Investigations


The Criminal and Juvenile Investigation (CJI) Units are primarily located at Police Headquarters with the Domestic and Sexual Violence Units operating at Holly’s House, 750 North Park Drive, Evansville, IN. CJI provides investigative services Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. After hour emergencies are responded to through a call out procedure.

The CJI Section is comprised of the Auto Theft Unit, Domestic and Sexual Violence Units, Financial Crimes Unit, Juvenile Investigations Unit, School Liaison Unit and School Safety Unit. The section is commanded by a lieutenant. The Domestic and Sexual Violence Units commanded by one sergeant, are located at the Holly’s House facility while the remaining units under the Criminal and Juvenile Investigations Section are located at Police Headquarters. One sergeant commands the Auto Theft and Financial Crimes Units. School Liaison and Safety has one sergeant and the Juvenile Investigative Unit has one sergeant. Other CJI staff includes twenty four officers and one civilian employee.
